AquaCo Whole House Water Filter: FAQs and Answers

We want our clients to have peace of mind when it comes to pricing, which is why we’ve assigned a fixed price of $600 Incl GST for standard installations of our whole house filtration system. During the first twenty minutes of the plumber’s assessment, we will determine whether the installation is standard or non-standard. If the installation is standard, the plumber will proceed with the installation without any extra cost to the client. However, if the installation is non-standard and requires additional services, equipment or materials, such as poles or a water line location, there may be an additional charge. We will provide the client with a detailed breakdown of any extra charges to ensure transparency and avoid any surprises. Please refer to our brochure for more information on pricing.

Filter replacement depends on water quality and usage. Typically, the AquaCo Whole House Filters have a lifespan of up to 18 months.

The AquaCo Whole House Water Filter is a comprehensive three-stage filtration system designed to purify the water supply at a property’s point of entry. Typically installed before the water heater or any other water distribution system, it effectively removes various impurities and contaminants such as sediment, chlorine, bacteria, viruses, and heavy metals. By doing so, it guarantees that all water entering the property, whether used for drinking, cooking, bathing, or laundry, is free from harmful contaminants, thereby ensuring a consistent and dependable supply of clean and safe water.

In areas with high levels of contaminants and impurities in the water supply, the AquaCo whole house water filter can be an effective solution to provide clean, safe, and pure water for all household uses, including drinking, cooking, and bathing. It can also help to prolong the lifespan of appliances that use water, such as water heaters and washing machines, by reducing the build-up of mineral deposits and other harmful substances.

Additionally, the AquaCo whole house water filter can save time and money by eliminating the need for individual point-of-use filters throughout the property, as well as reducing the frequency of plumbing repairs due to corrosion and other issues caused by poor water quality.

Depending on the specific requirements and conditions of the property, the AquaCo whole house water filter is suitable for outdoor installation. It is imperative to choose the AquaCo water filtration system, which is designed and rated for outdoor use, and is engineered to withstand exposure to the elements and other outdoor conditions.

The cover of the system is meticulously crafted with 316 marine grade stainless steel, which renders it weather-resistant and exceptionally durable, capable of withstanding corrosion and degradation caused by UV radiation.

Nevertheless, a competent plumber will evaluate the practicality and appropriateness of an outdoor installation for the AquaCo whole house water filter. They will ensure that all necessary safeguards and equipment are in place to ensure reliable and effective filtration performance.

Relying solely on a filter’s micron rating to determine its effectiveness is no longer considered accurate. Several other factors must be considered, such as flow rate, capacity, and the filter’s ability to remove specific contaminants. A filter with a lower micron rating may not necessarily be more effective than a higher-rated filter if it has a lower flow rate or capacity.

Recent advancements in filter technology have led to the creation of filters that can remove contaminants at smaller particle sizes than their micron rating indicates. These filters use smaller pore sizes or employ electrostatic charges to capture contaminants, even at sizes smaller than the filter’s micron rating.

For example, although both 2 micron Aragon filters and 1 micron CTO carbon filters can be effective in certain applications, the Aragon filter may be a superior choice for tackling a wider range of contaminants, including heavy metals, organic and inorganic compounds, and scale buildup in plumbing and appliances. This is due to the Aragon filter’s catalytic filtration process, which uses a unique blend of minerals to remove contaminants, including heavy metals, bacteria, and other organic and inorganic compounds.

AquaCo Whole House Water Filter – Filtration Stages:

  • First Stage: 5 Micron Sediment Filter
  • Second Stage: 5 Micron Coconut Shell Carbon Filter
  • Third Stage: 2 Micron Aragon Filter

The AquaCo whole house water filter has the potential to cause a minor reduction in water pressure, which can be influenced by the incoming water pressure and the overall state of the plumbing system. Reports from customers suggest that the drop in pressure is typically less than 5 percent.

When adequately maintained, the AquaCo whole house water filter should not have a significant impact on water pressure. However, in the event that one of the filters becomes clogged, it may result in a drop in water pressure. Regular maintenance and monitoring of the filters can help to prevent this issue and ensure optimal filtration performance.
